Yujia Luo is a lecturer of General Arts Division, Department of Art and Design at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, a member of the American Chorus Directors Association,and a member of the Chinese Chorus Association.During her doctoral studies, she served as an assistant conductor of Tucson Symphony Orchestra Chorus and the Tucson Boys Chorus.Currently,she is the director of Beijing University of Chemical Technology Choir, primarily responsible for managing, rehearsing, performing, and participating competition,etc. Additionally, she offers general aesthetic education courses,such as Western Music History and Works Appreciation, Chinese Han Folk Songs, Body Percussion.
Yujia Luo led the BUCT choir to participate in the Beijing University Student Music Festival many times, garnering numerous gold and silver awards and titles, including Best Conductor and Excellent Instructor. Under her baton, the BUCT choir also participated in the national competition, China Chorus Congress-the 2023 National Youth Chorus Performance, securing first-class team honors (gold medal) and a Best Conductor award for herself.
As an active researcher, Yujia Luo has also overseen two projects:
Basic Research Project Funded by Central Universities, Teaching and Practicing of Chinese Folk Songs and Choral Works with Chinese Fork Song Characteristics in General Music Courses of Colleges and Universities,
Beijing Higher Education Reputation Research Planning Project, Inheritance and Innovation of Chinese Excellent Traditional Music Culture.
